SUNA Netball Carnival Garment Designs

The brief was to create a front and back design for t-shirts and hoodies for multiple netball carnivals. Each of the designs had to be different, and both appeal to their relative target audience.

For the Winter Carnival, I drew inspiration from the White Fox brand with its fun, bubbly font. This is a current trend that suits the demographic. I went with blue and white colours to match the winter theme, and they were suitable for the chosen garments. The design style also aligns with the popular cartoon Bluey.

In the 9 and Unders Carnival design, I was required to incorporate a bouncing balls graphic that has previously been used in SUNA’s deliverables. I kept the font bold and simple, yet different from the previous carnival’s. I took an experimental approach with the text layout, working around the balls graphic. I created a sense of movement with the elements, resulting in a fun and playful design that appeals to the age demographic.

With the Junior Summer Carnival, I went with a retro summer style. I created a visual of a sun setting using simple lines with bright, fitting colours. The design is minimal yet effective, and appeals to the 13 and under audience. The placement of the white text connects with the overall design and allows the sun graphic to be the focal point.
